Introducing best practices, such as PRINCE2, enhancing service offerings and spotting opportunities to add value will all be key. Working across this project range, your role will extend from producing bids and running PDWs to final project delivery. Resource and team management, estimating, planning and commercials, risk management and governance. We'll also expect you to introduce best practices, such as PRINCE2, enhance service offerings and spot opportunities to add value. We're looking for experience of assisting managing large or small, cabling projects, plus monitor / control expenditure on each budget to ensure only the valid costs are received. You will develop and maintain strong relationships both internally and externally in order to achieve project objectives. Collate and produce reports for review in line with project requirements. Coordinate resources in line with the project plan; develop your own skills and knowledge in order to progress by seeking new opportunities; produce documentation in line with project requirements and act in accordance with Computacenter Information Security Policies and report any potential or actual Security events or other Security risks to the organisation.

Ideal Candidate

Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years hands on experience, within the structured cabling industry. Have excellent understanding of Structured Cabling Solutions; experience in delivering construction and/or £50k cabling projects as well as have a good understanding of procedures for the installation and termination of Fibre Optic cables. Have the ability to design and install cable highways including the provision for containment. Be competent in using all test equipment including result interpretation, fault diagnosis and compiling reports. Have a good understanding in networking equipment. Have Health & Safety Training (CSCS) which is affiliated to the Construction Industry Training Board. Preferably be IOSH accredited, have at least 3 manufacturers' installation accreditation i.e. Systimax, Brand Rex or other leading brand, with at least 2 manufacturers design accreditation. Have a City & Guilds or equivalent accreditation for the installation and testing of singlemode and multimode fibre. Have a BTEC in Project Management Techniques, MS Project and Visio with some experience in attending site planning and program meetings; experience in data centre installations and basic knowledge of AV and Wifi installations.
