A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Data Quality Analyst to join an insurance focused financial services company in the heart of London, just a short walk from Liverpool Street. The overall purpose of this role is to undertake comprehensive analysis of data, identify and correct data defects, and contribute to overall data quality processes across the business.

The Team

This Data Quality Analyst position has opened up within a large BI team of around 20 people, which includes Data Analysts, Data Quality Analysts, and BI Developers at a range of experience levels. The company itself has recently gone through a merger and are in the unusual position of having multiple different systems on different technologies. The team currently utilises SQL Server and SAS databases, however moving forward (in the next 12-18 months) they are looking to migrate everything to SQL Server.

The Job

As a Data Quality Analyst, you will utilise SQL Server and SAS Databases and use Excel and Power BI to analyse complex data for the business. You will write basic T-SQL Queries to obtain data from the database, and you'll use Excel on a daily basis (you'll also have some exposure to SAS and Power BI, however you'll be able to pick up skills in these areas on the job). You'll work closely with actuaries and developers, and you'll be responsible for analysing data, identifying and logging defects, improving data quality / data quality processes, and taking part in root cause analysis. This Data Quality role has a broad range of responsibilities, and you'll work with a variety of internal stakeholders across the business.

About You

To be successful in this Data Quality Analyst role you should currently be working as a Data Analyst / Data Quality Analyst within financial services. Experience writing simple T-SQL queries and using Excel is essential, and any additional experience with SAS would be a bonus (but isn't essential).
