My client is looking for an engaging and delivery orientated technical leader to help shape and lead the future of their IT function. Reporting in to the Finance Director, you will lead the overall IT team, work with all business functions and get the very best out of current and future 3rd party suppliers.

With the organisation looking to double in size over the next two years and current international expansion with new manufacturing facilities being built, the successful candidate could see a career path to the operational board of this innovative and fast growing business.

Whilst this role is strategic, there is a strong delivery element. The successful candidate will have a Project Management background with knowledge of delivering both business and IT change initiatives.

Accountability's:

*

Creation and maintenance of an overall IT plan, which aligns with the strategic business plan.
*

Position IT to enable business growth through, for example, improved support for sales and marketing, integration with global supply chain initiatives and further development of their market-leading product platform.
*

Day-to-day people management of the IT team (approx. 8 people)
*

Coaching and development of the IT team across all IT disciplines, including: IT Support, Software Development; Business Analysis; Project Management; Information Security
*

Development of the IT team structure in line with business needs.
*

Creation and maintenance of an IT project Roadmap.
*

Create and manage projects to deliver IT solutions, including full life-cycle project management
*

Define, implement, manage and maintain IT Service Management Policies and Processes
*

Introduce high-priority ITIL Service Management processes.
*

Financial planning / budget / forecasting and management for the IT function.
*

IT Risk management.
*

Information Security management.

Essential Skills:

*

Minimum 3 years as IT Manager / Head of IT
*

Manufacturing or Logistics sector knowledge
*

Business/commercial acumen
*

Good broad understanding of technology (including infrastructure, software development and information security)
*

Excellent project management skills - encompassing both Waterfall and Agile project approaches
*

Experience of negotiating with and management of 3rd party suppliers
*

Successful delivery of projects up to £250k in value, and the ability to deliver a portfolio of small projects
*

Good understanding of ERP systems and processes
