IT Administrator (SQL Server)

Our client, an expanding financial services organisation are urgently seeking an IT Administrator who will be responsible for maintaining the network server infrastructure and application to ensure all servers are fully operational, secure and maintained at all times.
Working within a team your core focus will be 2nd/3rd Line Server Support, administering and supporting windows server environment (2000, 2003/2008/2012). Administration of Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange server 2013. Database administration of SQL servers, 2000 - 2014. Implement and monitor security controls to safeguard network infrastructure and data. This would include user access, device, server, workstation security.

Successful applicants will be fully conversant with all aspects of SQL Server 2000 - 2014 Server setup and administration, backup's and restores with an understanding of how it needs to be built. Excellent Windows Server 2003 - 2008 Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft Office 2010. Desktop Windows 7 and Windows 10. Local and wide-area networks using TCP / IP infrastructure. Understanding of cybersecurity and controls to manage the security risks to an IT network. Any additional knowledge of Visual Basic scripting/ programming or Citrix farm implementation and management would be highly beneficial.
