IT Engagement Manager
Key role within the CIO organization that will lead the offering for Corporate Banking and Global Transactional Banking relationship with the global offerings for Corporate. Will lead the IT program and services for the mentioned areas and the Platform strategy and Implementation plan associated to the program. The role holder will also manage the business stakeholders associated with the New Corporate Model implemented.
The major responsibilities will be:
To lead the IT services of the areas of responsibility (Keep the Bank Running)
To lead Programs for Corporate and Commercial Banking ensuring the execution and successful implementation of the Corporate platform.
To develop the IT strategy for the business areas in charge.
To align the program planning of platform with the IT strategy at the Group level, maximizing value for the business and strategic direction.
To create the relationship with the Global areas that will provide support to the UK service model (specialized products, etc.)
To ensure the coordination with Operations and Change Management for the complex programs to implement
To drive the relationship with business at high level in partnership to identify and manage the priorities, and share the vision of the Technology strategy.
To manage the implementation plans form an IT perspective to ensure quality and delivery on time.
To manage the efficiency in the IT area for costs, resources and third parties with the support of the finance function within the area
To lead the engagement area and develop the model within the Corporate and Commercial Banking IT team
To develop the skills and capabilities of the team to be aligned with the model.
To effectively manage the different organizations within the IT function to successfully deliver against the objective
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required
A strong, proven analytical thinker who can demonstrate a high ability to gather and assess complex business requirements and translate them into creative solutions which meet both the business needs and the IT strategies..
A deep understanding of the Manufacturing Model and the platforms in place for Santander Corporate Banking.
Must have strong experience in Complex Program Management, extensive experience in banking and have the skills and experience to partner with business areas to meet the objectives in a changing environment.
Influencing skills both in terms of dealing with senior leadership and also the ability to shape and deliver compelling arguments as to what can and cannot be achieved and why.
Understand and digest complex technical issues and translate them into business terms so that they are clearly understood.
Proven excellent interpersonal skills, a strong team player with excellent relationship building capability.
Creative problem solver.
Financially agile with a highly developed appreciation of commercial drivers.
Superb oral and written communication skills.
Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
A change agent able to plan in and adapt to the changes.
An in depth knowledge of risk assessment practises.
