IT Manager - Gatwick - Coinford construction

Your new role

Due to heavy investment and continuing growth within the IT department, we have partnered with Coinford to find a skilled and strategic IT Manager to help drive and develop their existing team.
This is an opportunity for somebody who has experience in both building new teams and growing existing infrastructure to make a real difference in a local business at a very exciting time in their history.

What you'll need to succeed

As a seasoned IT manager, you will be comfortable with a broad range of technologies, ideally in a similar sized department. As you will be the key member of the company in implementing and driving change within the department, you will be comfortable in stakeholder management, and working autonomously. You will be responsible for the full roadmap and future strategy of the department, so will be comfortable in creating and implementing plans, as well as developing team members.

You will;

  • Manage the IT team with responsibility for appraisals, setting objectives and monitoring individual performance and improvement
  • Manage the development of the IT team ensuring the right level of expertise and training in each position
  • Maintain SLA standards, procedures and processes within the IT team monitoring KPIs
  • Manage general IT related projects as agreed at IT review meetings and utilising skills within the IT team as relevant
  • As part of the annual and interim appraisal process, meet individually with each department head quarterly to review performance of the IT team and systems and implement improvements as required
  • Identify and propose areas of improvement in the IT infrastructure and manage operational performance
  • Ensure that SLAs are adhered to and dealing with ticket escalations
  • Overall management of the time and attendance system ensuring that sufficient and effective IT resource is provided to maintain efficient operations
  • Oversee all IT contracts and assign projects for renewals
  • Manage network edge policy and compliance
  • Manage IT element of the Disaster Recovery Plan
