This is a chance to make your mark at an expanding, worldwide company. You'll keep our global IT security operations safe and secure, and contribute directly to our wider security strategy. Day-to-day, you'll use a wide range of tools and techniques to assess security and compliance risks. You'll develop our situational awareness and respond quickly to contain incidents, minimise exposure and return the Clarks business to normal operations.
In many ways, you'll be an ambassador within the business. You'll inform senior leaders about technical risks and impacts, and will often deputise for the Head of IT Security. You'll also be a role model for your function and a subject matter expert - responsible for coaching within the team and developing our awareness of security threats and vulnerabilities.
If you have previous experience in SIEM, DLP, Vulnerability Management and Incident Response and wish to apply and develop those skills in a lean, varied and challenging environment, then this may be the role for you!
Having worked for a retailer or large corporate business, you'll be used to managing operational security at a fairly senior level, as well as having a good understanding of risk and compliance. You'll have dealt with major incidents; developed response strategies; delivered metrics; and triaged incidents. You'll also know about IT infrastructure, ITIL, PCI and emerging threats and trends. Your expertise is based on broad security knowledge and an advanced IT security qualification. You'll use your talents to build our in-house capacity, working closely with stakeholders and mentoring our team. That means you need to be good with people and keen to share your knowledge. However, what really counts is an alert, proactive approach. You'll thrive on situations where you need to think fast and take action.
Life with us
Every 60 seconds, 105 pairs of Clarks shoes are sold globally. That makes us a £1.6 billion business and a truly worldwide brand. We now have some 15,000 employees across 75 different countries. In the UK, we've been named one of the nation's Top 25 Employers by Indeed. Despite being the world's biggest everyday footwear brand (by sale volume), we're still owned by the Clarks family and based in Street, Somerset - where the Clarks business began. Street is the nerve centre of our business, driving growth and the whole Clarks success story.
As well as development opportunities, pension and a competitive salary, you'll also enjoy a variety of benefits. These range from 25 days' holiday (plus bank holidays) to discounted healthcare. And, as everyone loves new shoes, you'll also get a very healthy discount on our products.
Closing Date: 02/04/2017
