Event Management Lead - Telecoms - Midlands

My client, a global telecommunications organisation are looking for an experienced Events Management Lead to join a talented team.

During the Mobilisation Phase key activities include but are not limited to:

  • Support and approve the Operational Acceptance criteria
  • Assist in the recruitment and appointment of the Event Management staff
  • Input as a key stakeholder into the Design and Configuration of NetCool working closely with the System Architect to ensure the platform is fit for purpose and achieves or delivers relevant operational acceptance criteria and capability requirements
  • Assist on the delivery and transition of operational tools to support the Event Management Process, such as IBM Netcool and integration to BMC Remedy ITSM suite.
  • Contribute to the successful delivery of all Event Management milestones
  • Ensure platform and fuctions/features are stable, tested and validated prior to acceptance into Operations, working closely with both the functional and system leads in Operations (Event and Incident and IT OSS teams).
  • Assist in Mobilising the phased resources to deliver User Acceptance Testing, User Pilots, User Acceptance and Service Commencement
  • In conjunction with the wider Mobilisation team assist in, draft, test and approve all Event Management policies, processes, tools and systems in line with key milestones and service commencement date
  • Support the delivery of the Operating Model

During the Operations/Run Phase key activities include but are not limited to :

  • Following Service Transition and successful project completion and outcomes, move into Operations Event and Incident Mgmt function.
  • Support the delivery of User Organisation Transition
  • Monitor and operate the Event management estate and associated processes
  • Support the achievement of all Managed Services contractual Performance requirements
  • Ensure compliance to all Government and Motorola service delivery methodologies
  • Drive process improvement through Continual Service Improvement framework
  • Deliver Event Management operations in line with ITIL Framework
  • Identify and support the opportunity for up-sell of new services or Changes to existing services within Service Design and Service Transition functions.
  • Establish processes which allow for the easy integration of other systems e.g. Air to Ground, Underground, etc.
  • Deliver target efficiencies across the Event Management team
