Information Security Risk Manager


Information Security Risk Manager - Cardiff City Centre, Greenfield Post, Fantastic Offices, up to £60,000

My client is an award winning, financial services organisation who are undergoing a major Technology Change and are looking for an Information Security Risk Manager to implement and develop the Information Security Framework in a permanent position paying up to £60,000 per annum with a fantastic benefits package including training, certifications, greenfield programme, bonus and other employee benefits.

Your new role
You will be responsible for the development and implementation of the information security framework.

Working closely with key stakeholders you will also be responsible for leading on data protection, governance, information security, control risks and supporting the management of security incidents and events.

You will also required to attend Board committees and Executive Risk meetings as requested.

Lead the development and implementation of an effective information security framework, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and within risk appetite.

Lead efforts to assess, evaluate and make recommendations to management regarding the adequacy of information security systems and controls.

Oversee information security governance processes ensuring that the right people have access to the right level of information at the right time.

Raise awareness and provide training of the information security framework at induction and periodically to all staff, visitors, contractors and other key third parties.

Provide training and guidance to all data asset owners and other managers/directors to ensure they understand their information security responsibilities.

Pursue information security initiatives to address weaknesses and vulnerabilities including protecting identity theft, social media and online reputation.

What you'll need to succeed

You will need to have demonstrable experience in an information security role with experience of training staff, auditing systems and controls

Experience in financial services will be highly desirable, but equally suitable in any other regulated environment.

Have excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, strong presentation skills and good analytical and investigative skills

You will have extensive knowledge of the current information security landscape including cyber security.
