Infrastructure Project Manager - Law Firm / LLP


Infrastructure Project Manager - Law Firm / LLP required by a Global Law Firm in its prestigious Central London offices. This role has become available following a period of sustained investment in new technology. As an Infrastructure Project Manager you will report directly to the Director if IT, and you will educate, develop and lead the IT Infrastructure Projects team to deliver projects with particular emphasis on the estimation, planning and delivery of projects and the organisation and prioritisation of tasks across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities of the Infrastructure Project Manager -Law Firm / LLP:

  • Educate, develop, lead and motivate the infrastructure Projects team to deliver projects to agreed time, cost and quality.
  • Coach the infrastructure Projects team on key principles such as "on time, right first time" (an approach for improving quality and timely delivery) and "the whole job" (focusing on planning and handover/transition to "live" as well as the product itself).
  • Manage and deliver Infrastructure projects successfully in order to build a good track record of delivery and to improve the reputation of the IT team within the business in terms of delivery of projects.
  • To organise resources to enable focus on projects whilst satisfying a reasonable amount of operational demand and sustaining a sensible level of utilisation.
  • To work with the IT team and the firm as a whole to understand the current and future needs of the business
  • To foster a culture of continuous improvement and to put in place a formal, structured approach to continuous improvement.
  • To work with and support the Director of IT in continually developing and communicating the IT strategy.
  • To be a member of the firm's IT Change Advisory Board, to provide guidance to others

Essential skills of the Infrastructure Project Manager - Law Firm / LLP:

  • Extensive Infrastructure Project management experience within a Law Firm or similar Professional Services Company
  • A demonstrable understanding of Lean, PDCA and Kaizen.
  • ITIL qualifications or at least an awareness of its processes and principles.
  • Degree level or equivalent.
  • Project Management qualifications.
