Mobile IT Support Engineer - Bristol, Salisbury & Oxford Salary up to £25k plus bonus & car allowance/car A great opportunity for an IT Customer Support Engineer (MS Server 2008,2012 / Win 7/8/10,Office 365, AD, DHCP, SCCM, Hyper V, VMware, SAN, Wireless, Citrix, Apple, CC4 etc) to provide 2nd line IT support to schools as part of a Managed Service with one of the 'UK's Top IT Employers'*. RM is the leading provider of IT software & services to the Education sector and employs over 1500 staff. Working within RM's Managed Services team on a variety of sites across Wiltshire, the Mobile IT Support Engineer will be part of a core team delivering a comprehensive IT Managed Service, against SLAs, to schools & colleges. The service is managed through a team of RM Support Specialists and School based Customer Support Engineers. A Technical Operations Manager and a Relationship Manager hold overall responsibility for the service. The Mobile IT Support Engineer role is designed to support the delivery of Managed Services across the area, working alongside engineers based both in schools & colleges and in various RM offices. Working to achieve both team & personal objectives the role will require travel to School sites within the South West of England, supporting the service as required. This is a varied IT support role in a very rewarding environment that requires the building of strong relationships with the school staff. If you're an IT Support Engineer with broad technical problem solving skills, are a great communicator with a proactive attitude and ultimately get a real buzz out of going the extra mile for customers, this is the role for you.
* 2nd line IT support & implementation experience including MS Server 2008/2012/Win 7/8/10, Office 365, AD, Group policies, DNS, DHCP,SCCM, network infrastructure, Hyper V, VMware, Citrix, CC4, switches etc, within a customer-focused environment * Strong problem solving abilities * Excellent communication, customer handling and inter-personal skills * Strong planning, organising and prioritising abilities. Flexible to cope with change, be proactive and adapt quickly to a developing type of service delivery * High standards with a real drive for continuous improvement * Prior school IT support experience as a senior technician or a 'hands-on' Network Manager may be useful, but isn't critical.
