PHP Developer Web Agile - Finance

PHP Developer / Backend Web Programmer (PHP 5.5 Web HTML JavaScript MySQL). Global, technology driven energy trading firm is seeking a passionate web application developer with strong PHP 5 skills.

As a PHP Developer you will be typically working in small groups, liaising with business managers to specify, architect, develop and deliver new functionality to the web application for a data intensive, real-time energy trading platform. You’ll be building server side APIs to power single-page web applications, using enterprise Design Patterns and the latest features in PHP to write scalable and maintainable code.

This PHP Developer role presents an excellent opportunity to join a world renowned organisation as part of a highly talented team, working on the latest kit. Offices are City based with smart casual dress code.


• Advanced skills with object orientated PHP 5 / PHP 5.5
• Strong experience with API development
• Good knowledge of SQL
• Test Driven Development experience using PHPUnit
• Excellent communication skills
• Desirable: MySQL, JavaScript, Angular.js, http, Linux, Symfony, data APIs, Jenkins / Hudson, HTML, CSS
