Your new role
As the Principal Network & Telephony Operations Analyst you will report into the Network & Telephony Operations Manager and act as a technical lead / SME within Network & Telephony guiding and developing the team. Taking responsibility for the implementation of optimised process and practices that result in network & telephony infrastructure being reliable, scalable, secure, efficient, well controlled and documented and cost effective adhering to ITIL best practices. In addition you will ensure the delivery and technical support of products, applications and services that meet agreed service levels and environmental standards. Offering your subject matter expertise and acting as a final point of escalation within IT operations for the resolution of all complex network technical incidents and problems you will have the skill set and experience to successfully resolve these. Day to day you will be involved in the installation, configuration, maintenance and support of the network and telephony infrastructure. You will be driven to make a significant contribution to delivering continual tangible and measurable benefits and value in terms of improving customer service and operational efficiency whilst reducing risk and keeping operational costs to a minimum. Working within change protocol process you will instigate and orchestrate complex changes to the network infrastructure whilst leading the delivery of change projects. You will be confident in your leadership abilities to step in and deputise for the Network & Telephony Ops Manager in his absence and support, coach and mentor the more junior members of the team to improve their efficiency and skills.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful Principal Analyst will have significant experience of working within large multi -site networks in Cisco environments. A strong communication style where you can prioritise and manage conflicting projects and demands. working effectively with key stakeholders you will have strong decision making and problem resolution skills. A natural team player you will work closely, collaboratively and highly effectively with others to deliver results. You will have an enthusiasm for Operations and Service Delivery striving to improve the service, achieve operational excellence and be highly customer and process focused.
