Position: SEO Account Director
Start date: Flexible
Starting Salary- £55k
You will be working for an International agency, part of one of the biggest Network agency's in the world. Reporting into the Head of SEO, you will be responsible for delivering SEO strategy, and client servicing for a desirable blue chip client base
As one of the most senior members of the SEO team, you will be responsible for leading strategy and activation across a number of markets in EMEA, expanding the clients portfolio whilst collaborating with paid social and content channel to develop and integrated marketing approach.
You will become a trusted member of the business directly responsible for managing the relationship of high profile clients, alongside developing strong relationships with the planning teams, partner agencies and suppliers in order to deliver collaborative effective and high profile campaigns.
Reporting directly into one individual and managing a team of up to 3 junior team members, you will need the flare and passion lead by example and to deliver outstanding service and product; you will lead by example.
*Develop strong relationships with all clients at all levels.
*Build strong relationships throughout the agency at Business Director level on your key accounts and ensure SEO is part of their planning considerations at all stages.
*Keep clients informed of new developments and opportunities in the SEO landscape.
*Empower your team to deliver best working practice to ensure accounts run smoothly.
*Deliver strong insights grounded in data and research to ensure we become the default strategic source for the client across SEO.
*Develop an in-depth understanding of how we are remunerated by the clients and work with the Head of SEO to increase client profitability.
*Maximise all potential revenue from existing channels and constantly look to innovate and develop new revenue streams.
*Feed into client revenue targets agreed with the Head of SEO.
*Ensure accounts are running efficiently and profitably.
*Take overall lead on client communication for strategy and planning, providing clear, detailed briefs for internal and external teams.
*Actively ensure you and your team are up to date with all client, internal, 3rd party providers' initiatives and industry & consumer insights.
*Develop our SEO offering by testing new technologies & building case studies to support up-sell, cross-sell and new business opportunities.
*Be accountable for developing KPI frameworks for all clients to ensure clear measures of success have been agreed, are reported back to the client effectively and that KPI targets are met.
*Actively ensure the SEO product being delivered to each client tackles their underlying business objectives, considers marketplace and competitor activity, is relevant to their audience and uses data driven insight to inform activity.
*Collaborate with other departments to deliver integrated client campaigns.
*Lead new business pitches and inspire your team to take part, whilst actively participating in industry / client conferences.
Team management & leadership:
*Give direction, manage, appraise and motivate all team members. Conduct appraisals for your direct reports and ensure appraisals are carried out for all team members.
*Take ownership of recruitment and HR related issues within your team.
*Identify gaps in your team's knowledge and ensure they have the correct learning and development program in place.
Do you have gravitas and the ability to inspire? If so this could be the role for you! Experience in the following area's is hugely desired:
*Solid SEO background, across technical, on-page and off-page
*Well versed on all aspects of digital from content and social media to paid search and programmatic and able to hold conversations with senior clients and senior internal stakeholders
*A strategic thinker with excellent business acumen
*An experienced client lead on ROI-driven and large scale accounts, on a multitude of verticals
*Agency experience at senior level
*Experience in managing a team and conducting team appraisals
*Experience in driving innovation and winning awards
*Strong leadership, communication skills and ability to engage with paid and earned teams and clients
*Solution focused and an innovator, able to drive performance from their accounts and team.
*Solid experience with new business pitches and clear understanding of how a business operates
