Working in the Technology Labs to lead the delivery of mobile reference, development, test, integration and proof of concept environments for IP Transport, Firewalls and Radio Access technologies for a number of internal customers and strategic partners you'll be an integral part of EE. You'll continually innovate - aligning work with the launch of new and upgraded products and network integration business requirements. A proactive leader and natural communicator, you'll develop strategic relationships with key business customers and develop your team, taking their skills to the next level.

What you'll do:

  • Lead a team who design, integrate and operate environments through each project or customer requirement
  • Work closely with partners, vendors, test, design and operational teams
  • Provide monitoring and fault diagnosis capabilities and maintain environments representation to the live network
  • Manage the configuration status of test facility assets
  • Develop strategic relationships with key business customers and external suppliers
  • Help create an optimised operating model for Test Facility
  • Manage, coach and develop your team
  • Ensure a proactive and resilient operational regime and carry out high-level administration
  • On occasion provide out-of-hours support
  • Interface into key partners for delivery of reference environments

You'll definitely:

  • Work in a senior position within a technical organisation (tier 1 IT, telecoms or ISP)
  • Have experience in service delivery of 24/7 operational or non-production environments
  • Have experience with managing engineering teams in a complex technical environment, with a good understanding of IP Transport or Radio Access technologies
  • Be able to understand how your work relates to the end customer experience
  • Have experience of delivery through permanent, subcontract, offshore resource models
  • Know how to manage a team, stakeholders and third party suppliers
  • Have a good working knowledge of ITIL and ISTQB
  • Be a natural communicator with good influencing skills
  • Be able to work to demanding deadlines and requirements
  • Have a flexible, collaborative approach and a strong customer focus

You might also:

  • Have experience with initiating and leading organisation or business transformation
  • Understanding of the end to end mobile architecture / system
  • Understand emerging technologies such as NFV and SDN
  • Understand matrix management practice
