We are hiring a Test Analyst to support a major Government programme from our location in Central London.
This is a permanent position and SC clearance is required to commence the role.
Leidos is developing its Information and Communications Technology (ICT) presence in the UK. It has ambitions to bid for, win and execute a number of major UK Government ICT programmes. As part of this, Leidos is currently executing a major Civil Government service provider ICT programme, a key element of this programme involves the introduction of and transition to a Leidos Service Integration and Management (SIAM) function. This function will be responsible for the Service Management of the ICT estate for a major Civil Government Department.
THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY
Reporting to the Software Engineering Manager, daily duties will involve a combination of the following responsibilities:
Ability to derive test cases from Requirement and Use Cases
Ability to create and update Requirement and Verification Traceability Matrix documents (RVTM)
Experience in Software Testing Lifecycle (including Test planning and Completion Reports)
Performing System test, System Integration, Witness testing, exploratory testing, regression Testing and Creating Test data in specified environments
Design and document new black-box Integration, regression and whole system test cases, from the extracted requirements
Develop test procedures, test scenarios and test scripts when required
Test result analysis and defect reporting
Ability to write Test automation and Manual scripts
Provide accurate estimates for assigned tasks and deliver these tasks to plan
Ability to liaise with the business Users during Acceptance testing to ensure that the User requirements are fully met
Actively suggesting improvement on QA activities and process, with the main objective of finding defects earlier
Work directly with developers and SMEs on an active role in an Agile team. Sometimes even with Analysts, QAs and distributed Teams
Defect Management Experience; Identifying and clearly explaining defects on defect tracking system (HPQC-ALM)
Provide priorities and severity based on the defect impact & frequency
Web applications, Point Of Sale hardware and related technology
Knowledge and Experience:
Demonstrable experience as a test automation engineer
Experience in automation testing and Knowledge of Framework creation
Experience in Java, Cucumber (Gherkin) or similar
Experience in creating manual and automation test reports
Experience using database management tools and source control
Client facing experience
Able to work independently or in a team environment
