We’re passionate about using the latest technology
Every Developer at Mergermarket is a problem-solver. Some of us started our careers at start-ups, and some of us bring experience from working at other technology giants. The one thing we all have in common is that we’re well versed in the latest technology trends and our work always has an impact.
We’re big advocates of Agile practices. Within our cross-functional, self-organising teams, you’ll find highly empowered developers who have influence over the technical direction and strategy of their products. This means that great collaboration, communication and teamwork abilities are as valuable to us as technical excellence in your field.
We try to nurture a culture of openness and learning through pair programming + and knowledge sharing. We are committed to supporting all the members of the Product Development family in their current roles and helping them to achieve their goals. We are encouraged to learn new skills, regular hack days (10% time dedicated to work on side projects), attend events and share the knowledge they acquire. Everyone participates in the weekly team meeting where achievements are demonstrated and company updates are shared (over a beer).
We have a dedicated office for the Product Development team in the heart of the London (St.Paul’s) and our office space was designed with a focus on collaboration. You’ll see a mix of open areas, quiet spaces and our developers enjoy small luxuries like a pool table, coffee machine and a drinks fridge.
We work in cross-functional teams - Business Analysts and the UX team work with partners to co-ordinate research and understand requirements, whilst Software Engineers pair with Quality Analysts to develop the most robust solutions, and Platform engineers (DevOps) work across the organisation to ensure our infrastructure never lets us down.
