About IT Services

IT Services offers a wide range of Administrative and Academic computing and information technology services for all staff and students at the University.

IT Services provides facilities and resources for staff and student members to support learning and teaching, including:

  • Help and guidance in using the services provided electronically, printed, by phone, email or in person
  • IT and Email Accounts for staff and students
  • Secure Personal & Shared Filestore areas
  • Telephone and Network Services
  • Open Access Areas and PC teaching rooms
  • Printing Facilities
  • Site License Software
  • Online and tutor-lead training
  • Audio Visual Equipment
  • Supported workstations: desktop and laptops
  • Off campus access

  • In addition to an excellent core annual leave allowance, we also give you 7 additional days, which are taken as follows; 3 days at Easter, 3 days at Christmas, plus 1 additional discretionary day.

  • Our experienced in-house team offer a broad range of courses, workshops and bespoke sessions for individuals and groups, covering induction, personal development, organisational performance and development, leadership and management and many more. With a variety of resources at their fingertips they also work with external consultants and training providers to offer you different ways to learn and develop that will allow you to get the very best out of yourself.

Salary and Pay Scales

  • University salaries are aligned with the National Pay scale, and annual incremental progression to the top of each pay band is offered, subject to satisfactory performance.

Pension

  • The University currently offers employees the opportunity to join one of the generous occupational pension schemes, depending on job grade/level. Full details of the relevant scheme will be made available on appointment.
