Job Description

Within Charles Taylor InsureTech the Delegated Underwriting practice has been created to meet market demand for a range of services.  This practice is set to expand to meet considerable market demands and requires adaptable, outcome-oriented team members to deliver success.

The immediate opportunity is to support the delivery of a SaaS based product which will enable rapid delivery to market clients.  This solution, known as Tide, takes information from offline systems into a centralised, cloud based platform which validates data against binder rules at source.

You will have proven experience of working on Delegated Authority projects or businesses and have a mix of good balance of business process and technical abilities.  You will need to quickly master all functional aspects of the product, analyse and understand client requirements, identify gaps and solutions, apply and prove system configuration.  Additionally you will provide support and Tide expertise to all business and technical resources across all project lifecycle activities, both internally and externally.  For this, you must be comfortable in a client facing role, as you will be required to demonstrate capabilities and assist in training users in a pro-active manner and with a degree of autonomy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with product owners to rapidly become product SME for the Tide application to make full use of the platform's capabilities and existing functionality
  • Share Tide expertise with other team members and provide support to technical and test teams throughout the development lifecycle
  • Provide support to client project personnel and end users in matters of Tide functionality when required.  Travel to client sites will be required
  • Support the management team in identifying and developing best working practices around the development and implementation of the Tide platform
  • Supporting the integration of the Tide application with client systems
  • Assist in the development and delivery of the service support model and provide Level 3 support as necessary
  • Manage the continued technical development of the Tide application in conjunction with the product owners and developers
  • Assist in managing the delivery of the Tide implementations to clients and in managing the development of the Delegated Underwriting practice

Required skills

  • Good knowledge of delegated Underwriting Operations within the London Markets, both in terms of business processes and the processing of data
  • Good knowledge of a full Software Development Lifecycle, preferably including SaaS based solutions
  • Strong people skills and the ability to manage relationships up to C-Suite level
  • Ability to design and specify solutions to meet agreed functional requirements across multiple process areas
  • Writing specifications to support integration of Tide with external solutions and implementing these with a client
  • Knowledge of data standards applicable to Delegated Underwriting operations data mapping for supporting document production and reporting requirements
  • Good communication skills with ability to support business and technical teams on Tide related matters throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Team player. Ability to work collaboratively within the team, with clients and with other suppliers is essential.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced analyst with a proven track record of working with clients to enable integration of software solutions to their business operations.  They will be comfortable both with a hands on approach and with working with multiple stakeholders at a variety of levels. They will be familiar with working in a collaborative manner and dedicated to delivering success
