The Applied Intelligence division of BAE Systems delivers solutions which protect and enhance the connected world. Everything we do creates a safer future.

We want to solve problems for our customers and by bringing together great minds, we can work together to make the world a safer place.

Role summary

Our customers want Digital applications that are quick to build and easy to change. That's why we are using the best emerging technologies. With our breadth of customers and projects, you'll find something here that'll interest you and if we're not using it already, it'll be on its way in the next project. You don't need to be an expert either. If you've got the potential we'll help get you there with the great training and fantastic career opportunities that come from being part of a FTSE 100 organisation, not to mention the competitive salary, and flexible benefit options.

If you're an experienced JavaScript engineer you'll get the chance to help us with our technology choices and ways of working. But, it's not just experienced people that we are looking for. If you're less experienced you'll grow with the team, working alongside smart people who recognise the value of building awesome teams. Things rarely stay still for long so we love people who are great at adapting, learning, and exploring new tech.

What you'll be doing

  • Consistently be a great team player, enjoy your role, and take pride in what you do.
  • Develop high quality browser based applications.
  • Champion Agile practices but question the status quo. If you see inefficiencies, help us improve. Everyone's input is valued.
  • Contribute to enhancing the delivery approach with the use of automated tools (Docker, Puppet etc.)
  • Continuously improve your own capabilities through the work that you deliver, the way you challenge yourself, and the way you support others.
