The Role – Release Co-Ordinator (Software, Developer, Administrator)

Working in a release co-ordinator capacity to co-ordinate releases for a team of software developers, business analysts and software testers, to enhance an existing software product. Liaising with internal release management teams to manage changes to scope of a release.

You will be involved with Co-ordinating multiple releases, at different stages, concurrently and will build good working relationships with internal colleagues across several teams in different locations.

You will possess sufficient functional knowledge of the software to be able to understand the context and interdependencies of the scope of the releases.

Within the role you will monitoring and report on the progress of the deliverables within a release in an Agile environment, including on-target and to-budget analysis of high-level and detail scope. Identifying risks to the delivery of a release and making recommendations for rectification. Co-ordinating and prioritising defect reports raised by internal and client test teams.

You will work with the development team to produce a high-quality release and contribute to the production of the Release Notes with excellent organisational and time management skills.

Primary objectives of the Release Co-Ordinator (Software, Developer, Administrator)

Coordinating internal software development teams and liaising with other release management teams to monitor and deliver regular software releases for a product being implemented across multiple global clients.

We are looking for a dynamic individual who is able to understand client priorities and balance these with internal capacity. You will have experience in working in a busy environment and able to manage and prioritise a diverse workload in a busy environment.

Requirements for the Release Co-Ordinator (Software, Developer, Administrator) role:

- Experience of co-ordinating or administrating software releases with agile methodology.
- Proven ability to work effectively and build relationships within a software development team.
- Automotive finance experience is desirable.
- Ability to work with complex, interdependent software changes
- Appreciates the importance of monitoring software delivery progress and identifying dependencies and risks
- Willingness to take ownership of issues and strive for successful resolution
- Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) with stakeholders at various levels
- Ability to present technical issues and challenges in a clear, concise manner
- High levels of attention to detail and a thorough approach
- A co-operative nature, with a desire to succeed as part of a team
- Logical, thoughtful and pragmatic decision-making, with the ability to consider multiple viewpoints
- Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative
- Well-developed time management skills, with ability to work to tight deadlines, whilst multi-tasking
