We are seeking an Senior Infrastructure Engineer based in Chiswick,
A pivotal role within BSI's global IT infrastructure team, the Senior
lead 3rd line Engineer will work directly with the Infrastructure Team
Manager. You will be responsible for the technical administration,
configuration and planning of operational systems, including (but not
limited to) BSI’s Active-Directory, The Microsoft Exchange email system,
Desktop OS and build environment, Security Systems (including
Anti-Virus), and the file and print environment.
You will assist and complete operational tasks, data management,
incident logging, reporting, systems monitoring, systems testing and
disaster recovery. You will provide proactive recommendations, high
quality support and development services and the successful delivery of
both IT and business projects within BSI.
Working with the Infrastructure Manager to Architect new solutions in
relation to meeting ever changing business needs, as well as
enhancements to the current IT Infrastructure.
You will provide a third line point of escalation for appropriate
global infrastructure solutions to include design and selection of
storage, data centre and client/server environments.
You have extensive awareness of current IT technologies &
terminologies, and the ability to quickly develop an understanding of
the BSI environment.
You will have excellent interpersonal skills, neccessary when working
closely with individuals at all levels within BSI, as well as external
organisations. A consistent and methodical approach to working and great
attention to detail. You are computer literate and have experience of
working in a support (service) environment. You are experienced in
working with on site and off site hosted services.

•Networking (LAN, WAN, VPN, RAS, TCP/IP, DHCP and DNS) experience
•Exposure to Cisco Equipment (Hubs/Switches/Routes/Firewalls/VPN) (Preferred)
•Exposure to HP and Dell servers
•SAN Technologies, HP left Hand, EMC
•Exposure to Dell laptops/desktops/servers
•Exposure to Lenovo laptops and desktops
•Exposure to ITSM Remedy
•Use of Message Labs, ForcePoint.
•Netwrix Systems Management
•Solarwinds and Splunk
•Security Management and Penetration testing tool sets
•SQL Server Systems Administrator
