What you'll do

You'll enable positive change in our business by developing end-to-end solutions. This will involve identifying problems and opportunities and translating them into high level solutions, based on knowledge of business product platforms or technical platforms. While based in Wholesale Credit Risk, you'll be engaging with all teams involved in delivering and protecting the services our customers depend on, including development, infrastructure support, front line support, supply chain services, and risk & control.

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Supporting the definition of technical solution for programmes or platforms, to meet business requirements and bank-wide change standards
  • Undertaking technical analysis, design and delivery of technology solutions and components, including technical guidance, development, configuration and management services
  • Providing high quality analytical input to support the development and implementation of innovative processes and problem resolution 
  • Capturing, validating and documenting technical requirements, ensuring they're in line with key strategic principles, 
  • Building positive working relationship with stakeholders and third party suppliers across multiple franchises and functions

The skills you'll need

We're looking for an experienced analyst, with the initiative to take the lead on discrete project deliverables. An understanding of risk, wholesale and commercial banking would be an advantage, as would familiarity with agile or DevOps methods.

We'll also look to you to demonstrate: 

  • An understanding of, and experience with, change management and the project life cycle 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work influentially with stakeholders and collaborate to achieve great results
  • The ability to identify and manage risks
  • Great communication skills, including the ability to present complex information in a clear and compelling way to different audiences

Experience with SAS, .net and java would be a bonus, but this is not essential, and there will be opportunity to develop your skills in this area.
